1. The 20th of May is the International Academic Freedom Day.

We will celebrate this day and encourage members to host events at departments and send the Gothenburg Manifesto to politicians and ministers responsible for research policies.

2. The 29th of July – 5th of August 2024 we will have our Summer Symposium “Alternative Ways of Organizing Universities” at Løgumkloster Højskole in Denmark.

The call is now open, and we invite participants with or without presentations.

3. Three-year plan within Nordic Summer University

During April, we will make a three-year plan within and for Nordic Summer University. The tentative plan is that we will meet for winter symposia once a year (Oslo 2025, Aarhus 2026, Helsinki 2027) and summer symposia once a year. Here we will work with themes related to the manifesto and make concrete actions to manifest the manifesto.
